Innovative Photonic Solutions’ TO-56 package features our proprietary single-mode wavelength stabilized laser diode. This diode offers high output power, narrow spectral bandwidth, and a diffraction-limited output beam. Designed to replace expensive DFB, DBR, fiber, and external cavity lasers, the TO-56 laser package offers superior wavelength stability over time, temperature, and vibration.
The TO-56 product line comes standard with a circularized and collimated output beam, internal thermistor and ESD protection. A wide selection of IPS’ TO-56 wavelength options include an integral laser line filter, which works to enhance the Signal-to-Noise-Ratio (SNR) by isolating the desired excitation wavelength and reducing Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) along with filtering other unwanted spectral components. For custom orders, lasing wavelength can be accurately specified and repeatedly manufactured to within +/- 0.1 nm upon request.
